Mad About Mashups

The best song of 2009 was not one you could find on Billboard’s top 100 chart. Instead, it was the top 25 songs on the chart. Yeah, all 25. Although DJ Earworm’s annual year-end mashup for 2009 is titled “Blame it on the Pop,” the only thing I can blame him for is my addiction to his megamix.

For critics who don’t think you can combine Miley Cyrus with The Fray or Flo Rida, consider yourself silenced here.

Earworm’s website includes dozens of mashups. The end of the year mixes are probably the most catchy, but the Sean Kingston and “Just Dance to New Order” mixes are worth downloading also.

While 2010 has been off to a great start musically (with the slight exception of this year’s lackluster American Idol), I can’t wait for the year to end so I can hear “Empire State of Bad Romance.”
